Basketball Western Australia (a.k.a. the Western Australian Basketball Federation) is the governing body of basketball in Western Australia and is responsible for the development and promotion of the sport at a state and local level. Basketball WA’s most prominent competitions are the State Basketball League (SBL) and the Western Australian Basketball League (WABL). The SBL comprises both a men’s and women’s semi-professional competition, while the WABL consists of multiple under-age junior divisions.

Project Overview
Basketball WA is the governing body of basketball in Western Australia who are responsible for the development and promotion of the sport in the state. We were tasked on delivering a truly seamless and memorable digital experience for the rapidly evolving nature of their audience.
The Challenge
With multiple needs across departments, our challenge was to create a super flexible platform that could keep up with the constantly evolving organisation, including integrations with third party data sources and the ability for the administrator to manage multiple websites from a single dashboard.

The Solution
Built on the WordPress, we were able to use the multisite capability offered by the platform to create a simple and productive workflow for the website administrators to manage multiple websites using a single login. Templates were created to keep the design consistent on all websites with powerful third party integrations tailored for each website and unique website elements that provides an immersive digital experience for their audience.
