Aktive – Auckland Sport & Recreation is a charitable trust with the vision to make Auckland the world’s most active city. They are a key strategic partner of Sport NZ, Auckland Council and major grant makers and funders. They invest more than $11m per annum in a range of delivery partners, organisations and projects that will get more people recreating and playing sport in Auckland, with focuses on young people and identified communities.

Project Overview
Aktive is a key strategic partner of Sport NZ, Auckland Council and major grant makers and funders. They support organisations and projects that will get more people recreating and playing sport in Auckland, as well as creating more opportunities for coaches. The goal was to deliver a digital experience that was both informative and rewarding, reflecting the organisation’s desire for innovation in the digital space.
The Challenge
The administration of the website required to be easily manageable and have a low learning curve to skill up current and new staff. It needed to deliver value for delivery partners and showcase programs and investments by Aktive organisation.

The Solution
Using rich media and stunning visual assets, we created a fully-responsive website for desktop, tablet and mobile that inspires more people playing sport in Auckland with a focus on young people and identified communities.
Creation of a responsive map that directs users to their regional delivery partner, staff biographies and showcasing community programs, it allows for greater transparency on the Aktive organisation and their investments.
